Rule of thumb: We need 600 sq. ft. for 6-hole course / 900 sq. ft. for 9-hole course.

While roughly 100 sq. ft. per hole is the minimum needed, we can easily expand to fill more space.

These scale drawings show example layouts. For reference, the actual width of each green is a little under 3 ft, and the grid represents 1 ft squares. Exact layouts don’t need to be drawn before most events, but these layouts demonstrate just how flexible the course is!
